Historic Almanac Collection
Six almanacs, mostly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Four of the six almanacs were produced by Reverend Irl R. Hicks. There is also an almanac from 1959 in the collection. These almanacs contained information on weather, astronomy, and calendars, as well as some predictions and forecasts for the year to come. Ayer's 20th Century Almanac, also included in this collection, contains predictions for the entire 20th century.
Historic Maps Collection
This collection contains various maps of Kansas and other Western states, such as Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Some maps are related to immigration and railway companies, such as the Kansas Pacific Railway, while others are designed more for travel or immigration.
H.W. Poteet Collection
Several photographs from H.W. Poteet, mostly documenting his work with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway as a Roadmaster from the 1950s to the mid-1970s. Some pictures document train wrecks and accidents. There are also photographs of Front Street, the Santa Fe Depot, and the Harvey House, all in Dodge City, Kansas.
Independent Order of Odd Fellows Collection
This collection contains materials related to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Ford County, Kansas. These materials include record books, letters, and certificates related to the Corono Lodge in Dodge City, and the Spearville Lodge in Spearville, Kansas. These materials span a period of one hundred years, dating from 1887-1987, and contains minutes books, correspondences, certificates, receipts, a few photographs, and other miscellaneous materials.
