Biographical / Historical
The School Herald was a semi-monthly publication of the School Herald Publishing Company, which was founded in 1881 by W.I. Chase. The journal contained short news articles for pedagogical use in classrooms, as well as advertisements of products sold to educators. The publication also contained questions and quizzes about its news articles, and contained reviews of recent educational publications such as readers for school children.
