Antique Photographic Portraits Collection
Abstract
This collection is comprised of antique photographic portraits that have no clear association with other collections in the Kansas Heritage Center. The vast majority of these portraits were printed on Cabinet Cards, which contain information on where the photograph was created. Many of these photographs have identifying information on the back, and have been identified within this finding aid according to that information, where possible. Includes tintypes, ambrotypes, and other types of photographs. One of the photographs is of the Mexican Bullfighters who came to Dodge City in 1884 for what was reportedly the first bullfight in the United States.
