Content Description
Letters to Jacob Heinz from his brothers Pete and Edwin Heinz, who faught in North Africa and Italy during World War II. There are also letters from other family members and friends, as well as those from the US Department of Agriculture Farm Security Administration.

Biographical / Historical
Edwin G. Heinz was born May 22, 1913, in Barton, KS. Edwin was an SGT in the US Army during WW2. He died March 30, 1982. Pete A. Heinz was born June 3, 1911, and died August 31, 1984 in Ellinwood, KS. Jacob H. Heinz was born April 20, 1916. Jacob also served in the US Army during WW2 and his rank was not found. He died November 22, 1995.
