Biographical / Historical

Bliss Isely was born in Fairview, Kansas on Febraury 10, 1881. He wrote a number of books in his lifetime, including a few - Four Centuries in Kansas and The Story of Kanas among them - which schools throughout Kansas used as textbooks. Isely also worked for a number of different newspapers in Kansas and Missouri, including the St. Louis Star, the Kansas City Star, and the Wichita Eagle. He died on March 17, 1963 in El Dorado, Kansas.
