Winifred Patricia Stuart was born in the year 1919 (approximately). She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1937. Her parents were Mr. And Mrs. Charles Stuart.
The Stuart family lived southeast of Dodge City, towards the small town of Ford. In 1931, they moved into Dodge. Winifred’s father farmed and served as a real estate agent as well.
Winifred graduated from Dodge City High School in 1937. While in school, she participated in music and drama programs in addition to her standard course work. She had a gift for music and became known locally as a pianist and violinist. She performed for local radio station KGNO and her music was broadcast live multiple times.
Ms. Stuart was married to Melvin Burnett on 02-02-1938 in Augusta, Kansas. Melvin’s parents were Mr. And Mrs. J. L. Burnett. They were also locals to the Dodge City area; they lived on a farm somewhat west of town. Melvin graduated from Ensign High School in 1934. They both enrolled at Dodge City Business College in 1939.
